On January 19, 2021, AICS and Give2Asia signed a partnership agreement to support fundraising efforts of the civil society in Afghanistan.

Based in the San Francisco Bay Area, Give2Asia is an international nonprofit that serves as a strategic partner and ally working on the ground in more than 23 countries across the Asia Pacific. Give2Asia serves as a platform that brings together donors and fund seeker through mobilizing support through philanthropic giving from Individuals, Family Foundations, and Corporations. Give2Asia works in many sectors throughout Asia that include providing access to quality healthcare, improving rural education, generating new sources of livelihood, empowering women and girls, protecting valuable natural resources and safe guarding against environmental degradation, as well as disaster resilience and recovery.

Under the signed partnership agreement, AICS will serve as Give2Asia’s Country Advisor for Afghanistan and will undertake the following:

• Facilitate grands administration for all grants in Afghanistan
• Facilitate due diligence process for new and prospective grantees
• Assist with the review of new proposals and budgets from grantees
• Assist with the grant monitoring and reporting
• Promote Give2Asia in Afghanistan
